8 oz dried Penne
1 x 14 oz can whole Italian style tomatoes, undrained
1/2 of 6 oz can tomato paste / Italian style
1/4 c tomato juice
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 lb lean ground beef (optional)
1 med onion chopped
1/4 c sliced olives
1/2 c shredded mozzarella
Oven will need to be preheat to 375
Cook pasta according to directions
In a blender combine undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato juice, sugar, dried oregano, and pepper. Blend until smooth.
In a skillet cook ground beef and onion over med high heat until meat is brown. Drain off the fat. Stir in tomato mixture. Bring to boiling; reduce heat to simmer. Cook 10 min. covered. Stir in pasta and olives.
Place into baking dish. Bake covered for 30 min. Cover with cheese and bake uncovered for 5 min. or until cheese is melted.
